He has boundless energy and channeling it into the sport has brought out his best. When he's not practicing to become a flyball champ, he enjoys hiking, long walks on the beach, chasing tennis balls and frisbees, hunting down pesky cats and squirrels, begging for food, and forcibly snuggling anyone who has a lap for him.

Lego
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier DOB: April 1, 2014 Titles: FDX Profile: Lego is from a breeder in SK and exactly what his momma wanted in a terrier. He will happily hunt all day long or snuggle up with you on the couch. He has been introduced to rats and LOVES Barn hunting. Lego also loves flyball but will be in training a while as we wait for his terrier brain to mature. In the meantime, he loves life and does everything with gusto.....even jumping out of his crate. While Lego is learning to work with his mom, he enjoying learning agility and of course, BARN HUNTING! He sailed through his Novice title and will start working on his Open. He will leave no rat undiscovered.

Mara Jade
Breed: Border Collie mix DOB: Jan 10, 2014 Titles: FDCH-G Profile: Jade came to us from Bend, OR as a ranchdog that was chasing cattle and needed a different job. She is extremely athletic and loves working with her humans. She has endless energy and is constantly looking for work. Her favorite things to do outside of flyball are hunting and chasing things......something we are working on in the ring. She excels at barn hunting and lure coursing where she can put her super powers to good use.
Likes: balls, tugs, squeaker toys, cuddling, playing with her siblings. Dislikes: Not getting to chase sheep.
Breed: Border Collie/Staffy mix DOB: August 16, 2014 Titles: FM Profile: Steem came to us as a rehome from his breeder. His family lucked out with him. He is super sweet and loves everyone and everything every second of the day. He is quickly picking up the game and is a natural athlete. He tried herding once, but the border collie in him didn't shine as much as the staffy part. Instead he would prefer to spend his days catching a frisbee or swimming....really anything but sitting still.
Likes: Anything. Mom. Anything to do with mom. Dislikes: Not being near mom. Sitting still.
Roo
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier DOB: Dec '12 Titles: FM Profile: Roo was adopted from Multnomah County Shelter and is a true terrier! She loves balls and food! She has a strong independent streak and her recall is only as strong as the benefit to her versus the object of her current desire. Roo has just started her sports career and has already been introduced to lure coursing, agility, herding and of course FLYBALL. All of which she loves. She is a certified Therapy dog and visits with children in her spare time.
Likes: Food, people, balls, more food, crows, SLEEPING. Dislikes: Mornings and being cold.
Rizzo
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier DOB: May 3, 2013 Titles: MBDX Profile: Rizzo was a re-home from a family that purchased her as a puppy from a pet store. They quickly realized that a JRT was not the dog for their family and that she needed a job to do. In her new home she has been dock diving, done JRT racing and become the team's solid little height dog.....after many, many discouraging practices. She is a true terrier at heart and will hunt all day long until she drops and curl up under the blanket with her human at night. Likes: Tennis balls, food, being tucked in, HUNTING, flyball, dock diving, lure coursing. Dislikes: Not getting her way, anything cold.
Taj Breed: Border Collie DOB: July 17, 2013 Titles: FDCH-G Profile: Taj is a super smart and sweet guy. He is a big cuddler and is lucky enough to go to work with his mom every day. He is learning obedience and is a flyball natural. He has a huge heart and loves playing with his furry friends.
Likes: Balls, other dogs, car rides and swimming. Dislikes: Wearing his raincoat or his harness (he prefers to be naked), and being away from mom.
Bearach(Bear)
Breed: Golden Retriever DOB: December 17, 2014 Titles: FDCH Profile: Bearach loves life! He came from a breeder in Rickreall and has been the best addition to our family. He isn't the most coordinated, but he makes up for it with boundless energy. When he is not surgically extracting the insides from his toys he enjoys chasing anything, swimming, and playing with children. He is full of love and his excitement knows no end.
Likes: NEW PEOPLE, old people, young people, other dogs, toys in all forms, anything that fits in his mouth, water, rolling around in wet grass, chasing birds, playing fetch, dancing, hiking, food, snuggling, BALLS. Dislikes: Fireworks Aspirations: Ball Shagger.
Nana
Breed: mix DOB: June 2011 Titles: FDCH-G Profile: Nana and her sister Po were rescued from the hot San Antonio sun at just three weeks old. Nana loves to play in her pool no matter how cold it is and she rolls in the mud at least twice a day. She is a great jumper and likes show off by twisting in the air to catch a toy. She is an excellent foot warmer and dancer. Nana loves everyone and everything and is loving this new flyball thing!
Likes: Swimming, snow, digging, mud, rain, rolling in stinky things, little squishy toys, running, circling her people, dancing, playing bear fight with Po and sleeping under the bed. Dislikes: Being stepped on by big brother Magilla, anybody being sad.

Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi DOB: Dec '11 Titles: MBDX Profile: Henry was adopted from a loving family in Beaverton, OR. He loves agility, flyball, and most of all spending time playing with his litter-mate, Teddy. He's always interested in seeing new places, trying new things, and smelling new smells along the way.
Likes: Balls, squeak toys, food, car rides, swimming and long walks on the beach. Dislikes: Other dogs with his ball, treat or toy.
Buddy
Breed: Border Collie/Australian Shepherd. DOB: November 2010 Titles: FDX Profile: Buddy was born and raised on the slopes of Hualalai volcano in Hawaii. It was there that he perfected his technique for herding waves, first tried dog Agility, met his dog girlfriend, Honey Girl, and chased a lot of chickens, sheep, cows, horses, and mongeese. Buddy is liking his new home in Portland, where he is learning Flyball and checking out snow for the first time. Likes: Car rides, singing along with the blender, chasing waves, showing you his toys, keeping an eye on his favorite chicken. Dislikes: The vacuum, lawn mower, and people knocking at the door.

Breed: Australian Shepherd DOB: June, 11 Titles: FDX Profile: Tanner is gorgeous love of a dog. He is regal and expects such treatment. He was adopted from ARPH Australian Shepherd Rescue. He was first a foster, but then his parents realized they could no live without him and now the dog family is complete with him in it. He loves to bark, which his parents would rather he not do. He is happiest when snuggled in bed with the whole family. He is very active and springy..a good combination for flyball!
Likes: His sister Vivian, running, playing fetch, Flyball, Dock diving, and being the best pet all time Dislikes: His sister Hazel, being left behind, not getting his way, and Foster dogs that take attention away from him.
Super Nova
Breed: Mini Australian Shepherd DOB: June 7, 2009 Titles: FDCH-S Profile: Nova is a gal of many talents. She is trained in obedience, agility and now flyball. She earned her Agility Novice Fast title in 4 tries, with 3 first places. She also learned the game of flyball in only 6 weeks! One super smart girl....who happens to have the most wiggly aussie butt.

Athena
Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier DOB: June '11 Titles: FDCH-G Profile: Athena was rescued in July 2012 from Clackamas County Dog Services. She keeps her parents quite busy and is currently working to earn her Canine Good Citizen certificate. Athena is a very energetic dog who enjoys playing at the park, visiting her friends at doggie daycare, and making frequent appearances on her personal blog. Although Athena is often slow to warm up to new experiences, she took quickly to flyball and is always eager for her turn at practice. LIkes: Balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, oh, and balls. Breed: mix DOB: June 2011 Titles: in training Profile: Po and her sister Nana were rescued from the hot San Antonio sun at just three weeks old. Po is an excellent guard dog, and thanks to her there have been no Ninja attacks and gangs of rabid squirrels have yet to take over the house. She is a fantastic swimmer and loves water in all its forms, but frozen is so awesome! Po can seam rip a stuffy with the precision of a brain surgeon and remembers where each of her tennis balls are hiding. Po loves good butt scratches and wringing herself out between the legs of dry people after a swim.
Likes: tennis balls, patrolling, snow, ice, swimming, digging, chasing squirrels, cuddling with her brother Magilla at night, ignoring Magilla in the daytime, running, butt scratches, stealing paper towels out of the trash, playing bear fight with Nana and sleeping with her feet in the air. Jasper Breed: Parson Russell Terrier DOB: April 2015 Titles: In training Profile: Often mistaken for a Jack Russell, Jasper is all terrier, all the time: feisty, stubborn and impulsive. Jasper came from from Snow Wind Farms in Carlton, OR, and at only 15" tall, he is all alpha, making sure everyone knows he is the boss. Jasper is a tugging machine, especially with his ball tug...although he will quickly drop that, once bored, for a bigger and better tug. Extremely clever, he picks up tricks quickly and problem solves to his advantage. In true terrier form, his biggest challenge is understanding he actually has to do what he has learned, when told, even when he's not in the mood. He has a sweet personality and is just as likely to race across the yard, as he is to crawl up in an open lap and snuggle.

General Dumpling Breed: Boston Terrier DOB: Feb 2017 Titles: In training Profile: General Dumpling is our baby in training and is eager to start his flyball career. He loves to tug, steal tennis balls off dogs twice his size, and sniff out any scrap of food in his vicinity. When he's not in training, he enjoys picking on his big brother, Ziggy Stardust, and stinking up the area like a true Boston Terrier.
Moose Breed: Mixed (Staffordshire bull terrier mix) DOB: 6/28/16 Titles: In training Profile: Moose was “rescued” off of Craigslist at 4 months old. She was said to be a lab, border collie, pit bull mix. I definitely think she has some herding dog in her, maybe cattle dog. We instantly fell in love with her pointy ears. She turned out to be the perfect mid-sized dog full of spunk and so much energy. We joined Flying Underdogs in 2018 to give her an outlet and continue building a bond together. Moose will do anything for her ball & loves to run. She loves to go on hikes & is becoming a camping dog (thanks to flyball improving her recall!) She keeps up with her 90lb Alaskan Malamute brother on the daily. You can find her cuddled up, or snuggled into any humans lap.

Breed: Aussie mix DOB: Sept '05-Oct. 22, 2017 Titles: FGDCH Profile: Diego was rescued as a pup from the Warm Springs Reservation. He is the calmest and happiest dog I have ever had the privilege of living with. He is a Certified Therapy dog and loves visiting with anyone who will stop to pet him. Diego is also his house manager and believes everyone should follow his rules and NO ONE should have any fun.
Likes: Chasing the ball.....or anything that you are willing to throw. Cats (a little too much), stuffies and flies. Dislikes: Not getting pets and watching other dogs run when he doesn't get to join in.
Cooper Breed: Border Collie DOB: Sept 27, 2011-2017 Titles: FDCH-S Profile: Cooper was a foster whose family thought he was 'too much border collie'. He fit right into his new family and they decided to keep him. He just needed a job. He LOVES flyball and is a natural at herding. Cooper has also discovered a new talent: Barn Hunting! He loves hunting for rats and has earned his Novice title already.

Marty
Breed: Border Collie DOB: July 7, 2011-May 9, 2014 Titles: FDCH-G Profile: Marty was a handful of a dog. He absolutely LOVED to work. In addition to flyball, he was started on sheep, loved agility and disc.....pretty much any job. Unfortunately he developed epilepsy at 2 and passed away after battling for 4 months. He was a brave soul and is missed dearly by all who met him. Likes: Chasing balls, frisbees, sheep, basketballs, and snuggling. Dislikes: Not getting his way.
Bella
Breed: GSD mix DOB: June 2002-March 2013 Titles: FDCH Profile: Bella was rescued from a local animal shelter who came in as a stray. She had more energy than she or her human parents know what to do with. Bella lived to fetch tennis balls and keeping with her GSD breed, she was deeply bonded with her mom. At almost 10 years old, she could outrun many dogs half her age at the park! Likes: Her mom, her mom, her mom. Tennis balls and bones are OK too. Dislikes: Not knowing where her mom is.
